There are professional careers in many industries that some of us may not know about because
people in our networks – our families, friends, and community members – are not well-represented in these professions or simply do not know enough about what professionals do in these fields. Moreover, girls/ young women have the additional problem of breaking into some professions historically dominated by men. As a result, it is even harder to get to know what women are doing in business, healthcare, law, and other professions.
